"Never doubt that a small group of committed people can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has."
Students interested in learning about worldwide societies and cultures and international markets and institutions will find the Global Studies major an inspiring area of study as we seek to explore and understand our rapidly changing world. Winner of the 2012 Sen. Paul Simon Spotlight Award for Campus Internationalization, the Global Studies Department has a commitment to student engagement, global awareness, cross-cultural immersion, and real-world problem-solving.
Global Studies majors graduate with the potential to imagine the world as it might be and then make positive contributions to our globalized world. Whether they pursue careers in education, international law, politics, media, global markets, or nonprofit organizations, they will be well-equipped to impact the social, political, and economic institutions of our society.
